Sarah from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia visited sites on Anglesey and Gwynedd with Celticos and Segontium Searchers. She visited old family homes and churches etc all with connections to her family history. She had a warm Welsh welcome/croeso from all the homes and sites visited. She was surprised to find that her family tree had a connection to Welsh royalty with her links – see below.
Owain ap Gruffudd (c. 1100 – 23 or 28 November 1170) was King of Gwynedd, North Wales, from 1137 until his death in 1170. He became known as Owain Gwynedd led the forces of Gwynedd against the Normans.
